In case you can't tell, this is one of those free, cookie-cutter websites. I really have no purpose for setting it up other than a place to store files on someone else's hard drive.

This would also be a great place to include any new information or changes that you have made to your site recently. It is important to regularly change the content on your site and make updates to the information that you display. Doing this will help you to get more return visits from your visitors.

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements
Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site.
However, that would require work on my part. Instead, it's my contention that if you want to know about updates, you should just look at the site or at the Updates section above this one and if it looks different than the last time you saw it, it must be an update.

Getting Rich Quick From My Site!

I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add other buttons to this first page, and I'll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons.
